Westford Friends of East Boston Camps

East Boston Camps was acquired by the Town of Westford on March 31, 2005 after a unanimous vote at a February 7, 2005, Special Town Meeting. The East Boston Camps Master Plan calls for the property to be open and accessible to all Westford residents; for the protection of the property's forest, wildlife, and water quality; and for the preservation of the feeling of serenity, peacefulness, and quiet of this open space.

The Westford Conservation Commission has been entrusted with the care and custody of the East Boston Camps property, and manages the use of the site.

East Boston Camps Campsites Available for Use

To help offset the costs of maintaining the East Boston Camps property, the camp areas are available for use after obtaining the required permit from the Conservation Commission. The Commission has developed a set of policies and rates governing the use of the camp areas.

Spring BBQ - Free Family Fun!! — Sunday, May 31, noon - 5pm

We hope you were one of the many many people who joined us at the barbeque hosted by the Westford Friends of East Boston Camps for food, music, nature walks, and enjoyment of this beautiful piece of open space. The weather cooperated for most of the afternoon, punctuated by a shower at the end.

NOTICE TO PERSONS USING EAST BOSTON CAMPS: Restricted Access June 8-12

Access to the camp area on the north side of Burge’s Pond shall be restricted to 5th grade campers and authorized personnel only during the days June 8 through June 12, 2009 between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Click here to see the notice, and here to see the affected area.
