NOTICE
EAST BOSTON CAMPS
JANUARY 2007
Per the East Boston Camps Conservation Restriction (CR), individuals or entities desiring to do improvements, environmental projects, etc on the East Boston Camps property must place their request in writing to the Board of Selectmen, 55 Main Street, Westford, MA 01886. Request to include the nature, scope, design, location, as well as a timetable and intent of the proposed activity.
Any individual who is aware of any suspicious or questionable activity on the East Boston Camps property should report the matter to the Town Manager’s Office, tel # 978-692-5501 or by e-mail to sledoux@westfordma.gov.

- East
Boston Camps belongs
to the people of
the Town of Westford. Respect our property
and the wildlife living on the premises. Do
not remove, injure,
deface, disturb,
or destroy any facility,
sign, structure,
tree, flower, shrub,
plant or wildlife
within the camp
grounds.
- There
is no general public
access to camp areas
when camp is
in session. See
map for session
dates and camp areas.

- Children under the age
of 12 should be accompanied
by an adult.
- Please
park motor vehicles in
designated areas only
(except for motorized
handicap access vehicles).
- No
snowmobiles, ATV’s,
ORV’s, mini-bikes,
dirt bikes, go-carts,
golf carts or similar
motorized devices including
watercraft except for
motorized handicap access
vehicles.
- Possession
or consumption or any
illegal drugs or alcoholic
beverage is prohibited.
- The
discharge of firearms
is prohibited.
- Pack-it-in/Pack-it-out. Carry
out everything you have
brought onto the property. Keep
East Boston Camps beautiful!
- No
glass bottles or containers
are allowed. Broken
glass is dangerous and
hard to clean up.
- Glass
and metal containers
are not allowed on Burge’s
Pond. Bare feet are easily
injured.
- Fires
are allowed only with
a permit from the Chair
of the Board of Selectmen
and from the Chief of
the Fire Department and
only in designated, approved
areas.
- No
life guards on duty.
- The
following activities
are prohibited: paintball,
hunting, golf, and storage
of personal property.
- The
following activities
are allowed by permit
only: camping and
entry into buildings.
- The
Town of Westford assumes
no liability for injuries,
damages or loss to persons
or property resulting
from the use of the East
Boston Camps property.
- Report
all problems to the office
of the Westford Town
Manager

treat East Boston Camps as
if it were your own by abiding
to these rules to ensure that
East Boston Camps remains
the treasure that citizen’s
purchased on March 31, 2005.
